After dedicated soldier Frankie Dunlan's release, the hell of Vietnam is finally over. He returns to civilian life and the streets of New York. He quickly realizes that nothing in Vietnam has prepared him for the battle he has to fight at home.

Frankie cannot get his old job back and cannot find new work. Tragically, he learns that the Prisoners of War weren't the only victims of Vietnam - his new baby is also a victim, horribly mutated due to the effects of Agent Orange. Society has betrayed Frankie, and the only way he can support his family is to cooperate with the drug dealers who pollute his neighborhood.

Disillusioned and enraged, he calls on the vicious combat techniques he has learned in Vietnam and decides to stand up to the street scum. Frankie plots brutal revenge against the dealers who are ruining his life, turning to guerilla combat on the streets of New York. Directed by Buddy Giovinazzo, this controversial psychological study of a war hero features one of the most shocking endings in cinematic history!
