Daniel is a Vietnam veteran trying to cope witht he harsh realities of life after war. Tormented with inner turmoil and flashbacks of carnage, he considers taking his own life, until he meets Wendy, a sensuous actress who shows him a woman's touch can soften the blows of war. Finding physical and emotional comfort in each other, Daniel and Wendy learn to fight their personal demons together. But things go sour when the cross paths with a thrill-happy biker gang, causing the pair to wander aimlessly across the country until they encounter a cult leader who helps them undergo an intense spiritual healing.

Featuring a standout cast and an unforgettable story, Citizen Soldier is a gritty, post-war drama that gets under the skin.
